There is something about Budapest that captures you the moment you enter the city. It’s almost impossible not to fall in love with all that makes Hungarian capital a mix of all sorts of antonyms. Retro but sooo very modern, historical but contemporary, peaceful but incredibly vibrant, flat yet full of hills, green and blue, and beautiful in the rain as much as it is when it’s sunny. In the ruin bars, you’ll enjoy relatively cheap drinks in weird and utterly inspiring interiors, sipping coffee on the banks of the Danube will offer you the relaxing experience you’ll need after a night out, and get you ready for a day of exploring one of the best (and tastiest) European destinations. Seriously, try the local food, be it sweet or savory. You are in for a surprise. A good one! And if you need a place to stay, there is one we recommend. Our friend Balázs Németh will be a great host in Ciao Budapest hostel.
What makes your hostel unique?
Our hostel is made for backpackers by backpackers. The staff is a combination of locals and internationals, which always results in a great atmosphere. When you have just arrived at the hostel, you already understood you became part of something.
What is the one thing that your guests like the most in your hostel?
I can’t tell single out just one thing. The atmosphere at the hostel. Also the city. The surrounding bars and restaurants, the architecture, the history, the Royal Palace, the Danube river, the nightlife. And enjoying all of this with the new friends you’ve made in our hostel.
What makes your destination/city a place everyone should visit?
Really, what can I say? You already heard about my city. Come and visit!
What is the best time of the year to visit you?
Summer because of open air activities, winter because of thermal spas! It’s always great to spend your time in Budapest and enjoy its vibrant life!
What would you recommend to your guests as a must see/must do in your city?
Come to our hostel, became friends with us, and stay as long as possible! The rest is our job…
